Why Android Studio Is Such A Drag

I use logcat a lot.

And that generally involves dragging the height of the logcat window down to write some code, and then back up when testing that code.

Following a recent upgrade to Chipmunk, I managed to mess up my settings and so this constant dragging up and down of the tool window, would result in the entire window becoming undocked and it would end up half way up the screen. Like this

The fix to replace the window back to the bottom of the screen is to change it's view mode back to docked as follows

To prevent this from happening, or to make sure you have the 'Drag and Drop with Alt pressed only' setting checked in Android Studio preferences.

Sorted!

What a drag that was, finding out how to stop undocking the window. Another drag is the Stelvio, above. Not a drag in the 'bummer' sense, more in the long continual uphill drag that a pass at the height of the Stelvio presents to cyclists. One for the bucket list.
